Appreciating Nurses

This week we celebrate nurses and all that they do to care for our patients in the hospital and clinics, for our residents at Pioneer Manor, and throughout our organization.

Nurses bring the heart of caring right where it is needed most. For all of my career, I have observed nurses caring for new moms, for oncology patients whose lives have been disrupted by a terrible disease, hospice patients who are at or near the end of their life, patients whose illness or injury has required them to think differently about how they will live their lives, and in all of those cases I see nurses encouraging and caring in extraordinary ways.

To all of our nurses in every part of our organization I want to say thank you for all you do to care for those in our community who need your healing, compassionate touch. We depend on you and we take pride in you as professionals.

Enjoy this week and take pride in the very important and worthwhile work you do every day. You make us a better health care organization.

Andy
