Thanks for working here Thursday: Patty, Laundry Department

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Say hello to Patty Smith, a Linen Tech in the Laundry Department at Campbell County Health. Laundry is essential to all of CCH as it supports patient care by providing a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors and staff. Patty has been with CCH for eight years now, and all of it has been in the Laundry Department—she loves the fast-paced environment and her coworkers make Laundry a fun place to work. We asked Patty what she liked most about working at CCH, and what excellence every day meant to her. Check out her response:

"I like the daily challenge to get the laundry done and delivered on time, especially when you have 800-900 pounds of laundry to do. Working in laundry provides a vital service to patients and staff and although there are some delays, some of the time, I enjoy being able to indirectly be involved in a patient's care behind the scenes.

Excellence Every Day means that I set a standard for myself, and it comes from self-respect and respect of others. This makes me strive to provide Excellence Every Day."

Patty, thank you for caring about our patients and for providing the very best service you can provide every day. We appreciate you!

Is there a CCH employee who went the extra mile or shows you extraordinary service? Give them a pat on the back by completing an Excellence Every Day card.
