Department Discovery: CCMG Main Clinic

Campbell County Medical Group’s Main Clinic is the focus of this month’s Department Discovery. The Main Clinic is located on the south side of the hospital, and has convenient parking and a separate entrance. As a reference, it’s right across Burma Avenue from the Campbell County School District’s Administration and Transportation Services building, sometimes called the “bus barn”.

The Main Clinic houses many different medical specialties that provide care for newborns through seniors. Primary care is provided by Pediatrics and Family Medicine. Specialists in Urology, Neurology and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism also see patients in the Main Clinic. A total of 10 providers, 13 clinical staff, 8 operations staff and a clinical director make up the team of 32.

Everyone in the Main Clinic is dedicated to making the experience better for every patient by reducing wait times. They want every patient to have the time they need with their provider during their visit. Most times there are same-day appointments available with a pediatrician or family medicine provider.

Some things you may not know about the Main Clinic

  • The Main Clinic has its own Lab, so samples can be collected without having to leave the clinic. Part of the CCH Laboratory, samples collected at the Main Clinic travel through a tube system for analysis in the main Laboratory.

  • The Pediatric providers participate in Reach and Read, a national nonprofit program that provides children from 6 months to 5 years old with a book at each well-child visit. Talking with parents about the benefits of reading has a positive impact on literacy.

  • CCMG Urology offers an acupuncture procedure called Urgent PC to help with urinary frequency and incontinence.

  • Neurologist Dr. Thomas Mayer is now seeing patients two days per week at the Main Clinic. He treats headache disorders such as migraine, epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease.

According to Clinical Director Anna Wilson, the best thing about working in the Main Clinic is teamwork.

“We have a pretty tight knit group,” said Anna. “We have a strong, dedicated, compassionate team that is committed to providing Excellence, Every Day.”

A big round of applause to the Main Clinic staff! Thank you for all that you do for keeping our community healthy. You can learn more about the Main Clinic providers at www.cchwyo.org/find-a-doctor/, or call 307-688-3636.
