Main Entrance of Campbell County Memorial Hospital to open 24/7

GILLETTE, WY – Beginning Tuesday, July 5, 2022, the main entrance of Campbell County Memorial
Hospital will open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Emergency Department/Walk-in Clinic
entrance will be open for emergency and/or Walk-in Clinic patients only.
The main entrance is located at 501 S. Burma Ave., and will be staffed with greeters who are ready
to assist patients and visitors at all times. Patients and visitors can also request assistance by using
the assistance phone, located in the walkway from the parking garage, or by calling 307-688-1539
from their vehicles.

In our ongoing effort to provide Excellence Every Day, we are shifting general hospital access to the
main entrance. A recent review found moving general hospital visits from the Emergency
Department/Walk-in Clinic entrance to the main entrance improves patient privacy, improves
building securing, reduces congestion and ensures adequate access and parking for those who need
emergency or urgent care.

“We know this will be a change for some people who are accustomed to parking in the Emergency
parking lot,” said Jerry Klein, Chief Operating Officer. “We have made it easier for patients to get the
help they need with more assisted parking spaces in the garage and better directions for patient
loading and unloading at the front. We even measured the distance from the parking garage to the
main lobby, and from the emergency entrance to the main lobby; and found that parking in the
garage is actually 150 feet closer.”
