Thanks for Working Here This Week: Brittany Johnson PT in CCH Rehabilitation Services

Meet Brittany Johnson (left), Physical Therapist in CCH Rehabilitation Services. Brittany received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science at Black Hills State University, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of North Dakota. She has worked in healthcare for six years, and at CCH for 2 ½ years.

Brittany has always had a desire to help and educate people. She initially wanted to become a nurse, but found her true passion after her mother had physical therapy when she was a senior in high school.

Her healthcare hero is Dr. Baker from Denver Children’s Hospital. Says Brittany, “He has – and continues to--show an unending level of compassion, empathy and understanding for our family during our journey with MCADD (a rare genetic condition where a person has problems breaking down fat to use as an energy source) for two of our three children. He has made our experience much less stressful and even has brought joy to our family! I hope to be a light like that for my patients.”

Brittany feels that her Rehab team is absolutely amazing.

“We have the best crew,” says Brittany. There are different personalities to meet all the needs of our patients and top-of-the-line skills to provide the best care!”

To Brittany, Excellence Every Day means consistency. She says, “It’s showing up every day. It might be your fifth day in row, and you might be tired, but it’s likely the first encounter you’ve had with your patient and that’s what they are going to remember. You’ve got to give your best in every moment, because those individual moments are what compound to make an amazing overall experience!”

When she’s not working Brittany’s family loves anything outdoors.

Thank you, Brittany, for taking great care of our patients every day at Campbell County Health. We appreciate all that you do.
