Joanie Wagner Joins Campbell County Medical Group’s Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic

GILLETTE, Wyo. - August 21, 2023 - Campbell County Medical Group (CCMG) is excited to announce the addition of Joanie Wagner, LCSW, CAP, to its Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic team. CCMG Outpatient BHS is dedicated to providing its community with resources to address substance use and mental health concerns while empowering community members to reach their potential and overcome their struggles. Wagner is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in mental health and substance use treatment. She brings passion and dedication to the Northeast Wyoming community.

Hailing from East River, SD, Wagner made her way to Sundance in May, where she discovered an opportunity to contribute to the Northeast Wyoming mental health landscape. Recognizing the need for expanded mental health and substance use services, Wagner was drawn to CCMG's mission to positively impacting the lives of those seeking help.

Having faced her own battles with addiction and mental health challenges, Wagner recognized the dire need for resources and support for individuals facing similar circumstances. Wagner's personal triumphs serve as a beacon of inspiration to her clients.

"I want to help build rapport and trust in the community around mental health and substance use treatment," said Wagner. "In the process of getting sober, I saw the need for people like myself to have resources and to receive a message of hope from those who have gone through similar circumstances."

With over eight years of counseling experience and more than two decades of involvement in the mental health and chemical dependency fields, Wagner's journey has been shaped by personal growth and a deep understanding of the challenges individuals face on their paths to recovery.

Wagner's dedication to her clients' successes is evident through her extensive training in trauma-related care and co-occurring disorders. She is currently working toward becoming a certified animal-assisted therapist, further expanding her ability to provide holistic care.

Her favorite moments as a counselor involve witnessing the positive transformations of her clients.

"Seeing my clients' growth and success is so important to me," Wagner emphasizes. "I find tremendous fulfillment in hearing people's successes and being a part of their journey toward healing."

Outside of work, Wagner enjoys spending time outdoors in the hills. She also loves spending time with her pets – having both cats and dogs. She has a passion for vintage items and enjoys junking to see what unique items she can find.

"I love being able to vacation where I live," said Wagner, highlighting her connection to the community and the surrounding area.

Wagner's personal experiences and expertise make her an invaluable addition to the CCMG and the community. Her commitment to fostering a supportive and understanding environment aligns seamlessly with CCMG's mission to provide comprehensive behavioral health services to the community and provide Excellence Every Day.
