GILLETTE, Wyo. - August 25, 2023 - Campbell County Health is pleased to announce the promotion of Shane Kirsch to Manager of Campbell County Health – Emergency Medical Services. In this new role, Kirsch will oversee the EMS department, leading over 90 employees at four bases across three counties in Northeast Wyoming.

Kirsch brings a wealth of experience to his new position, having been an integral part of the CCH-EMS team since 2011. He initially joined as a PRN EMT and embarked on a journey of growth and development, advancing through various licensure levels to become a Paramedic. His dedication and hard work led him to a full-time role in 2017, and he subsequently climbed the ranks, holding positions such as Lead Medic and Operations/Logistics Shift Supervisor, leading up to this exciting next step in his career.

"I have known Shane for about 15 years,” said Chris Beltz, Director of Urgent and Emergent Services at CCH. “He has always been committed to personal and professional growth. He takes feedback from peers and colleagues seriously, leveraging it to enhance his performance and leadership skills. He has come so far, and I am very excited that he has accepted the Manager of CCH-EMS position."

Outside of his professional commitments, Kirsch is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time in the mountains. Kirsch's wife, Geraghty, is an RN in CCH’s Emergency Department, and the couple shares a love for travel and adventure.

"I am honored and thrilled to take on this new role as Manager of CCH-EMS," said Kirsch. "Campbell County Health has been my professional home for many years now, and I am deeply invested in ensuring the highest standards of care for our community. I look forward to working closely with our dedicated EMS team and collaborating with other departments to uphold our commitment to Excellence Every Day."

Kirsch's extensive background in fire service and experience as a CCH-EMS leader, coupled with his educational achievements—holding two associate degrees and currently participating in the LITE program (CCH’s in-house leadership development program)—further underscores his dedication to professional development and his ability to lead with knowledge and expertise.

With Shane Kirsch at the helm of CCH-EMS, Campbell County Health reaffirms its commitment to delivering exceptional emergency medical services to the region. CCH-EMS is the most robust ambulance service in the state of Wyoming by service area and by number of employees.
