Aisha Rafat, PA-C Joins Campbell County Medical Group Main Clinic

GILLETTE, Wyo. - Nov. 30, 2023 - Campbell County Medical Group Main Clinic is pleased to announce the newest addition to its healthcare team, Physician Assistant Aisha Rafat, PA-C. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Aisha brings her experience and passion for healthcare to our community.

Aisha's journey to Gillette took her from the bustling cities of Toronto and Chicago to the open landscapes of Northeast Wyoming. Having lived in a small town of about 15,000 in Ohio, during her physician assistant training, she developed a deep appreciation for close-knit communities where everyone knows each other. This love for tight-knit environments led her and her husband to search for a small town to call home.

Aisha explained, "We wanted a smaller city with a community feeling," and after exploring various Wyoming communities, they found their fit here in Gillette.

Her lifelong desire to be in healthcare and help others began growing up with siblings and interacting a lot with pediatricians. This early exposure to the healthcare system ignited her passion for making a difference in the lives of others through the power of medicine.

"I have five sisters, and so I would get sick all the time from whatever they brought home," said Aisha. "I was always in the pediatrician's office, which sparked my interest in healthcare."

Aisha holds a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio, and she is eager to bring her expertise to Campbell County Medical Group Main Clinic. Her favorite aspect of being a physician assistant is the ability to provide a unique blend of care.

Aisha explained, "I love being a PA in particular because you get the best of both worlds. You are kind of like the nurse but the doctor as well. You get to provide care similar to a physician, but you also get the time and personal touch nurses have."

When not in the clinic, Aisha enjoys spending quality time with her recently adopted cat, Loki, and dog, Trooper. She has also taken up crocheting as a hobby and shares her love for cooking, especially traditional Indian-Pakistani dishes, through video chats with her mother as they cook together.

We are thrilled to welcome Aisha Rafat, PA-C, to the team. Her dedication to patient care and compassionate nature bring the Excellence Every Day patients expect at Campbell County Medical Group Main Clinic.
