To get started, please call your Clinic!

Equipment needed

You do need a few basics: a computer or tablet with a working webcam, speakers and microphone or a smartphone. Your provider may also request you have a flashlight, thermometer, bathroom scale or automatic blood pressure monitoring device available.

For the best experience, download the MHealth app today in the App Store or on Google Play.

How to follow up

If you have a follow-up question, please call your clinic and you’ll be connected to someone who can help.

Certain symptoms may be treatable depending on severity. Your virtual provider will assess your condition and, if needed, may refer you to a local clinic for diagnosis and treatment. Antibiotics may be prescribed when deemed appropriate. During virtual vists, providers do not prescribe new pain medications that are controlled substances.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can my provider prescribe medication after a Virtual Visit?

Yes. If your provider decides you need a prescription, they will send the order electronically to your pharmacy so it’s ready to pick up when you arrive. Virtual providers do not prescribe new pain medications that are controlled substances. Antibiotics may be prescribed when deemed appropriate.

I’m not very tech-savvy. Is a Virtual Visit right for me?

Yes. We designed the MHealth app to be very user-friendly. If you’ve ever used Skype or called your family using FaceTime, it’s very similar to that. It just has a few more bells and whistles to give you and your healthcare provider everything you need to have a successful video chat.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

You can cancel your appointment by calling your clinic and they will get you someone who can help.

How can my provider treat me without a physical exam?

Your healthcare provider doesn’t need an in-person physical exam to safely diagnose and treat several conditions. However, Virtual Visits are not for medical emergencies or even complex conditions that require a full or detailed physical exam. In some cases, your provider will ask you to assist in a video-based exam, such as shining a light down your throat, pushing on your belly to look for pain, or taking your own pulse or temperature. Also, being able to see you by video gives your provider the information needed to make an accurate diagnosis.

Is my medical information secure?

Yes. CCH Virtual Visits are HIPAA compliant, so any personal health information you provide is safe and secure.
