The Cancer Care Committee of the Campbell County Healthcare Foundation received a lot of help for Paint Gillette Pink in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month—the activities raised more than $25,000! Way to go Campbell County, Wyoming!
All the funds raised during Paint Gillette Pink will be donated to local patients and families who are fighting cancer. For those who don't know, the committee considers applications and grants up to $5,000 each month, giving out more than $100,000 since 2013.
The Cancer Care Committee wishes to thank everyone who contributed by purchasing a car decal, sticker, or yard sign, rounding up a tip at a local restaurant, or wearing pink on October 28, among other activities including the Gillette Wild Hockey team’s Pink in the Rink. Pictured is Gillette Wild coach Brendon Hodge and two players presenting a check for $2,047.50 to Heptner Cancer Center Director Leigh Worsley—raised from their Pink in the Rink jersey donation.
Thanks again to everyone who participated in this, the first year of Paint Gillette Pink—CCH and CCHCF can’t wait for next year! Check out all the fun activities on the Paint Gillette Pink Facebook page.
