Introduction to Phlebotomy
This entry-level course provides the basic knowledge and skills to become
a phlebotomist in a laboratory or medical setting. A phlebotomist performs
blood draws and collection for inpatients and outpatients, and coordinates
result handling. The course includes classroom instruction and hands-on
experience. Students can invite a friend or family member to have their
blood drawn for a free basic blood panel.
There is no state certification in Wyoming for Phlebotomy. Employers can provide information on national certification.
