Originally from Cheyenne, Hayes moved to Gillette to join the Kid Clinic, bringing her dedication for supporting and empowering young lives. Her counseling journey was inspired by her great-grandmother, a pediatrician, fostering an early desire to follow in her footsteps. Hayes discovered her true calling while working in special needs classrooms, which ignited her passion for helping and guiding special needs youth.

At the Kid Clinic, Hayes enjoys the diversity in her work, emphasizing the impact she can have on the lives of her clients. "No client is the same, but I can still have an impact by tailoring my tools to my clients' needs," she stated.

Hayes recalled a memorable experience with a young pre-school-aged client that left a lasting impression on her.

"I remember the client came in with a lot of anger and would refuse to do anything," said Hayes. "I worked with him for three months, and within the first month and a half, many of those behaviors started to change. Things became much easier for them, and they really started making changes."

The triumphs and transformations she witnesses in her clients motivate and fuel her passion for her work. "It's all those success stories and the impact I'm able to have that keep me going and drive my passion for what I do," Hayes remarked.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Hayes finds joy in arts and crafts, including anything related to music. She also cherishes time with her family.
