About Kaitlin

We are excited to welcome Kaitlin Kirsch-Opfar, PPC, to our Behavioral Health Services Outpatient team. Kaitlin joined us on February 25, 2025, bringing with her a deep passion for helping others.

Kaitlin obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a minor in psychology from the University of Wyoming, a Master's in Art Therapy and Counseling from Southwestern College and completed the Trauma, Grief and Renewal Certificate from the New Earth Institute.

Kaitlin’s journey into the behavioral health field was deeply personal. Coming from a military and first responder family, she has witnessed firsthand the impact of stress on both individuals and their families. Her brother’s experience with PTSD after serving in the military inspired her to pursue a career where she can be a source of healing and support for those who do all they can to protect and serve our community.

What Kaitlin enjoys most about her work is the opportunity to support individuals in their personal growth journey, to witness the individual overcome challenges and celebrate their successes. She believes that sometimes, all it takes is a moment of sitting with a client, existing with them, and acknowledging their lived experiences to make a difference and begin healing. Kaitlin hopes to contribute to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and work towards normalizing mental health care within the community.

Kaitlin moved to Gillette in June of 2024. She is originally from Arizona but finds Wyoming to be her true home. Outside of work, she enjoys expressing her creativity through any artistic means possible, primarily watercolor and ink drawing. Other activities she enjoys include crocheting, watching movies, hitting the gym, and spending quality time with her beloved pets Hank, an avid barking chocolate lab, and Honey Bear, a rambunctious rescued red heeler.

Please join us in welcoming Kaitlin to the CCH family. We look forward to seeing her positive impact on our community.
