Thanks for working here Thursday: Jeanette, Materials Management

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Meet Jeanette, a Specialist in Materials Management. Jeanette has been with CCH for nine years. After spending a few years in a warehouse environment, Jeanette came to work for CCH in the Pioneer Manor kitchen—Jeanette's own grandmother had worked in a kitchen of a hospital so she gave it a try, too. However, when a position in Materials Management opened, Jeanette decided to return. Materials Management is responsible for purchasing and delivering supplies throughout the organization. So, everything the patient touches comes to them by way of Materials Management. Jeanette likes the flexibility of doing so many different jobs in a day, and says that there is always something new and challenging to take on. We asked Jeanette what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:

"To best describe what I think about excellence every day, I think about the definition of Operational Excellence: A philosophy of the workplace where problem solving, teamwork and leadership results in the ongoing improvement in the organization. The process involves focusing on the customers' needs, keeping the employees positive and empowered, and continually improving the current activities in the workplace.

I often think to myself when driving to work that I hope I can make a difference today. In doing so, my focus has to be on the importance of fulfilling our customers' expectations to the best of my ability."
