CNA Course Begins in April

GILLETTE, WY—Campbell County Health (CCH) is offering a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) course beginning April 14, 2015. The purpose of the course is to provide the appropriate coursework and skills for the successful completion of the Wyoming State Certification Exam.
Classes are held from 8 am to 5 pm on April 14-17, 21-24 and April 27- May 1. The course cost is $600 for non-CCH employees with an additional cost for textbooks. The State Certification exam is an additional fee as well. Space for the class is limited to 20 students. Applications are available from the Professional Development office at Campbell County Health, located on the 5th floor.
This class is approved by the Wyoming State Board of Nursing and meets the CMS requirements for nurse aide training. When the class is completed students are eligible to take the National Nurse Aide Exam which leads to certification.
“While jobs are not guaranteed there is currently a great need for certified nurse aides in the Gillette area”, said course instructor and Clinical Education Supervisor Sue Howard.
