GILLETTE, WY – Sue Ullrich, Director of Quality, Risk and Care Management at Campbell County Health (CCH), recently earned the designation of Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) from the American Hospital Association Certification Center (AHA-CC). Administered since 2000, the CPHRM is a national credential that distinguishes an individual as being among an elite group of over 2,200 healthcare risk management professionals who currently hold the certification.
Sue has been employed by CCH since 1981, beginning as a staff nurse in the Emergency Department for 15 years before moving to manage the Quality department in 1996. Along with others in her profession, Sue's duties include the prevention, reduction and control of loss to the healthcare organization, its patients, visitors, volunteers, other healthcare professionals and employees.
To earn the CPHRM certification, an individual must satisfy eligibility requirements that incorporate a blend of education and associated healthcare-specific professional experience, agree to adhere to the AHA Professional Standards of Conduct and pass the CPHRM Certification Examination. The CPHRM credential is based on a solid assessment that verifies a broad knowledge of risk management and requires period certification renewal.
