Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.
Meet Mariana Taveras, Cook II in Nutrition Services at Pioneer Manor long-term care facility. Mariana helps the team at Pioneer Manor provide high-quality nutritional care to residents and their families when they visit them. She has worked for Campbell County Health for eight years, and was inspired to work in health care after caring for her own parents and when her mother resided in an assisted living facility in Rhode Island. We asked Mariana what she likes most about working at CCH, and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:
“Working in Nutrition Services at Pioneer Manor has opened the doors for the growth of my passions—cooking and serving others. For the last five years, I’ve been a part of a team that provides excellent customer service to our residents, families, and staff. The training I’ve received here has helped me to expand into areas of culinary care that I never thought were possible for me. It gives me great pleasure to provide traditional home-cooked meals with a twist, and encourage our staff to give their best in customer service on a daily basis.
My parents always instilled in me that we should care for others as we would want someone to care for us. Excellence every day is not just a saying; it’s a model by which I live. I truly believe that living with a mind-set of “excellence” comes from within and can change lives for the better.”
Mariana, thank you for providing excellent care to our residents at Pioneer Manor. We appreciate you.
