CCMG Physician elected to American College of Cardiology Board of Governors

GILLETTE, WY – Dr. Nicholas Stamato, Campbell County Medical Group (CCMG) Cardiology, has been elected to serve on the Board of Governors of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) as the Wyoming Governor. His term begins March 1 and runs from 2016-2019. Dr. Stamato will concurrently serve as the president elect of the Wyoming chapter of the ACC. Members of the Board of Governors are the grassroots liaisons between the local chapters and the college headquarters.
As the voice of the Wyoming cardiology community, Dr. Stamato will advise local and state government and professional organizations on issues related to cardiovascular disease and patient access to quality, cost-effective care.
"I am very excited about the opportunity to not only make a difference both locally and nationally when it comes to transforming cardiovascular care, but also represent Campbell County Health," said Dr. Stamato.
The American College of Cardiology is a 47,000-member medical society with a mission to transform cardiovascular care to improve heart health. The ACC operates national registries to measure and improve care, provides professional medical education, disseminates cardiovascular research and bestows credentials upon cardiovascular specialists who meet stringent qualifications.
Dr. Stamato practices at CCMG Cardiology, providing diagnostic and interventional cardiology services to the community and region. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology.
