Thanks for working here Thursday: Debbie Lubkeman, RN, Heptner Cancer Center

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Say hello to Debbie Lubkeman, RN, ONS, the Clinical Care Supervisor for Medical Oncology in the Heptner Cancer Center. Deb graduated from Nursing School at Gillette College in 2003, and by June she was working at CCH. Deb was inspired to become a nurse after watching so many wonderful nurses take care of her son, Tyler. "Nurses are GREAT examples of caring and compassionate people, which is always my goal," she says. But nurse is simply one title Deb carries, she's also a wife of her "honey" Butch (of nearly 36 years!) a mother of Tim and his wife, Katie, and a very proud grandparent of three wonderful grandchildren. We asked Debbie what she likes most about working for CCH and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:

"I am very proud to work at CCH and enjoy my position here in Oncology. The Oncology team is like a big family who cares for our patients as well as each other. We spend so much time with our patients that we get to know them personally, we know how many kids/grandchildren they have, what dogs or cats they have, their hobbies, and so forth. Some become friends that we keep in contact with for years. They truly bless my life in many ways.

Excellence everyday means that we not only take care of the patient every day, but the family also, as cancer affects everyone in the family. Care takers and family members also need a lot of TLC!"

Deb, thank you for always going the extra mile to help patients and their families navigate a very difficult time in their life. We appreciate you!

Is there a CCH employee who went the extra mile or shows you extraordinary service? Give them a pat on the back by completing an Excellence Everyday card.
