Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.
Meet Leah Thalken, a Registered Nurse (RN) and Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP) in Campbell County Health's Cardiac Rehabilitation and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Department. Leah earned her RN degree from Laramie County Community College and earned her CCRP certification from the American Academy of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. For those who don't know, in Cardiac Rehabilitation Leah helps patients gain a healthier lifestyle by strengthening their hearts and reducing their risk for future problems with exercise and information. In Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Leah helps people living with chronic lung disease breathe easier, get stronger and learn how to do more in their daily life. Leah has been employed by Campbell County Health since April 2007—spending roughly four and a half years with the ICU as well. We asked Leah what she likes most about working for CCH and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:
"I have always been interested health and wellness, and I love helping others. I love working with patients in Cardiac and Pulmonary rehab because I'm part of a team that is helping our patients learn more about their disease, and how they can progress to living an active and healthy lifestyle.
I believe excellence every day means taking ownership of your position, and working as a team within the organization to make sure patients are taken care of in the best way possible. I believe the employees at CCH are dedicated and want the best for their patients."
Thank you, Leah for taking such good care of the patients in Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. We are proud to have you on our team.
