Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.
Have you met Sheleen Jarman, RN, who works in the Campbell County Medical Group Urology Clinic with Dr. Attila Barabas. Sheleen has earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management, as well as an associate’s degree in nursing. She has been with CCH for 10 years, and has also worked in the Campbell County Memorial Hospital Medical/Surgical Unit and Maternal Child departments.
Sheleen was inspired to work in health care after her father was diagnosed with lymphoma. “Dr McMahill and the nurses at the Heptner Cancer Center were so great that I decided to go back to school to pursue nursing. I’m very happy that I did,” she says. “I really enjoy getting to know my patients on a personal level and being able to teach them.”
When asked if she has a health care hero, Sheleen said: “There have been so many great nurse that have helped shape me into the nurse I am today. Deb Bullock, Deb McMurtrey, Mary Swirzcki, Georgia Morris, and Mindy Nielson, just to name a few.”
When Sheleen is not at work, she is enjoys spending time with her family. They are very active in 4-H, and they raise and sell show pigs for the community and surrounding area. Sheleen also loves to be outside in the spring and summer for camping and gardening. We asked Sheleen what she likes most about working for CCH, and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:
“We have incredible teamwork between all of the nurses and support staff, and we are always willing to help each other out.
Excellence every day means that I’m always treating everybody with respect. I always think, ‘How would I want my grandparents or parents or any other loved one to be treated?’ I believe it’s doing the best I can do every day for my patients and co-workers. It doesn’t matter if you’re a physician or the technician who cleans a patient’s room, we all play a vital role in getting the job done.”
Sheleen, thank you for your respect and dedication to our patients. We are proud to have you on our team.
