CCH seeks applications for Patient and Family Advisory Council

GILLETTE, WY— Campbell County Health (CCH) Patient Experience department is accepting applications for the Patient & Family Advisory Council (PFAC). The PFAC is an avenue for CCH to receive and respond to input from community members with a goal to impact and improve patient experience.
PFAC meets on the third Friday of each month from 11:30 am-1:30 pm. Since its inception in 2014, the PFAC members have participated in many projects including:
- Current involvement with new patient room design
- Participation on the CCH Ethics Committee
- Customer Service “Secret Shopping”
- Reviewed patient teaching information to assist with user-friendliness
- Participated in disaster drills
- Assisted in identifying ways to reduce patient falls in the hospital
“I wanted to be part of group that possesses intent to have positive impact,” says Jay Mahylis, retired Campbell County School District counselor and coach, as well as a long-time Campbell County citizen. Jay has served on PFAC for a year, and says that he has been able to, “…actively learn and use PFAC as the vehicle to offer input and constructive feedback in regards to providing quality healthcare in Campbell County, Wyoming.”
Other PFAC members include Kyouhee Choi Berger, Jack Clary, Cody Friedlan, Lorraine Miller, Stephanie Morgado, MaLinda Perry, and Jessica Klym-Pierce. The council is facilitated by Katie Golinvaux, CCH Patient Experience Supervisor.
Applicants need to be available for the monthly meetings and for additional commitments with specific projects.
