Citizens receive spoofing calls with CCH prefix

GILLETTE, WY – Some local community members may have recently received so called “spoofing” phone calls with a 688 prefix, appearing to come from Campbell County Health (CCH). Caller ID displays from these spoofing calls show up as Campbell County Memorial Hospital, but they are actually sales calls that are unrelated to CCH.

Campbell County Health does not call individuals with the intent to sell products or services, and advises anyone who is concerned about a call purporting to come from CCH to let it go to voicemail. Legitimate callers from CCH will leave voicemail messages as appropriate. Spoofing callers do not normally leave voicemail messages.
