Meet Betty Jean Gazzolo, a valuable volunteer with Campbell County Health.
Betty Jean is one of our longest-serving volunteers. She’s been a regular in the Campbell County Memorial Hospital Gift Shoppe since 2000. She really enjoys serving customers during her Monday morning shift.
Betty Jean was looking for a way to do something for the community when she retired from a career in real estate in 1999, and found her niche volunteering at CCH. Describing herself as a “homegrown Wyomingite”, Betty Jean was born in Sundance and moved to Gillette when she was five years old. Except for a few short absences, she’s been here ever since.
Not only has Gillette changed a lot since she’s lived here, the hospital has too. Betty Jean thinks the improvements here have been wonderful, even though she sometimes has to ask for directions to locations in the building.
Betty Jean and her husband Jack winter in Yuma, Arizona, but she volunteers only for CCH. We’re very lucky to have her, and so is the Festival of Trees Committee, where Betty Jean volunteers almost every year in their Gift Shop, too.
Betty Jean embodies the spirit of volunteerism—giving his time for the opportunity to help others. Thanks Betty Jean, for all you do!
