Thanks for working here Thursday: Taryn Nemec, CCMG Cardiology

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Meet Taryn Nemec the Surgery Scheduler in the Campbell County Medical Group Cardiology clinic. Taryn has been with CCH for three years, but has worked in health care for the last seven years. She is currently working toward a Business Administration associates degree; in fact she’ll graduate with it in May 2018! For those who don't know, our Cardiology team includes physicians, registered nurses in the Clinic, as well as a team of registered nurses and technicians in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Cardiac Rehabilitation.

When she was younger, she had to spend a fair amount of time in a doctor’s office, and that influenced her to pursue a career in health care. “I had one doctor in particular who really touched my life. He was always great at helping me (as a child) understand what was going on and how to fix it. He is the one who inspired me to work in health care,” she says.

Taryn names Dr. Gondalia, an allergist and immunologist as her health care hero because he was always so kind and sweet. “You could feel that he genuinely cared about you and wanted the best for you,” she said.

Outside of work, Taryn loves to do things with her family. “My husband, daughter, and son all love the outdoors. We enjoy fishing, camping and hiking on our days off together. I also love to read in my spare time,” she says. We asked Taryn what she likes most about working at CCH, and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:

“I cherish the friendships you make with your patients—after time, they become more like friends. I also love the providers who I work for, and all my coworkers. There is never a dull moment around them.

To me, excellence every day means showing up to work with a positive outlook on the day and providing the best care to each patient who walks through the door.”
