April 2018 Volunteer Spotlight: Essy Moser

Meet Essy Moser, a valuable volunteer with Campbell County Health in Gillette, Wyoming.

Essy started volunteering at Campbell County Health in 2009, and almost a decade later you can still find her in the Campbell County Memorial Hospital Gift Shoppe. Throughout her life she has constantly done volunteer work. She has volunteered for Relay for Life since its inception, as a Team Captain and coordinating the Survivor’s Dinner; served meals at the Council of Community Services Soup Kitchen and taught Vacation Bible School at her church.

Essy honors her mother each time she volunteers. Essy’s mom owned a restaurant, and would open it up to the community on every holiday. Essy and her siblings helped serve free the meals–she says it was just part of what they did.

Her favorite part about volunteering is talking to people all the people she gets to meet and help anyone whenever she can. When Essy retired from her career as a Trust Officer at First Interstate Bank, she instantly knew what she wanted to do next: help out at the Gift Shoppe. Essy is one of Chris’ “go to” volunteers for merchandising in the Gift Shoppe. She unpacks, prices and displays everything to its best advantage.

Along with volunteering, Essy also enjoys yard work, reading, and walking. She spends a large amount of her time at the Campbell County Recreation Center. Essy also enjoys spending time with her five grandkids and 10 great grandkids.

Essy embodies the spirit of volunteerism—giving their time for the opportunity to help others. Thank you, Essy, for everything you do for our patients, families and employees.
