CCH Emergency Medical Services Employees Earn Advanced EMT Certification

GILLETTE, WY – Campbell County Health announces that six employees in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Campbell County Memorial Hospital Emergency Department (ED) earned their Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (A-EMT) certifications. Employees include:

• Landon Suchor, who has worked for CCH since June 2014
• Emily Stauffer, who has worked for CCH since November 2014
• Wayce Waller, who has worked for CCH since February 2014
• Krista Wanbaugh, who has worked for CCH since April 2015 in the ED
• Daryan Case, who has worked for CCH since July 2017

This certification allows EMS to provide a more advanced level of care when it is needed throughout the Campbell County, Wyoming community. Advanced EMTs are able to start IV's, give medications, and provide advanced airway skills—thus making the transition of care easier for the patient when they arrive at the Emergency Department for further care.

Advance EMT certification requires 148 class hours, 24 hours of clinical time in the Emergency Department, and 24 hours of EMS ride time. Upon completion of this, EMT students must successfully complete a written and practical test from the Wyoming Department of Health Office of Emergency Medicine.
