Today, July 8, community doctors were given the opportunity to tour the newly redesigned Maternal Child patient rooms at Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming.
Tomorrow, July 9, the public is invited to our Open House from 3-6 pm where they can tour the new units and partake in a ribbon cutting and dedication celebration at 4:30 pm.
A new feature in the Unit are the LDRP rooms, which stands for labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum. Moms currently deliver their babies in a labor room and then are moved to a postpartum room on a different wing. CCMH has never had LDRP rooms for moms and babies before, which are now common in many healthcare facilities. Moms currently deliver their babies in a labor room and then are moved to a postpartum room on a different wing in CCMH.
Other features of the new unit are a C-Section (operating) room, a six-bed level II Nursery and three dedicated Postpartum rooms. An additional four “flex” rooms will open at the same time and can be used for Maternal Child or Medical Surgical patients.
The Inpatient Room Replacement Project is the first major overhaul of patient rooms since the opening of Campbell County Memorial Hospital in 1981. Learn more about it at www.cchwyo.org/ptrooms.
