Campbell County Health announces Tisha McIntosh has been named the Director of Behavioral Health Services, after serving as the Interim Director for the past six months.
Tisha is a Registered Nurse and has been involved in the care of mental health patients for more than 25 years, and was previously the Inpatient BHS Nurse Manager. She has worked at CCH for six years.
According to Chief Nursing Officer Misty Robertson, Tisha did an excellent job as Interim Director, assisting with Baldrige application preparation, DNV accreditation requirements for ligature risk, and has already made improvements in employee engagement, improved teamwork, and collaborating with other departments to promote continuity of care.
Tisha’s goals for BHS are to begin to change the stigma of mental illness in the Campbell County, Wyoming community and within CCH. She looks for the department to do more outreach in the community, school district and clinics because, as she says, mental health is everywhere.
Ultimately, Tisha wants to reduce suicide attempts and completions in the community, a problem that goes far beyond the walls of Behavioral Health Services.
Behavioral Health Services in Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gilette, Wyoming provides the Northeastern Wyoming community with compassionate, confidential and comprehensive treatment of behavioral disorders, mental illness and substance abuse treatment following detox. Appointments are available Monday–Friday from 8 am–5 pm. Call 307.688.5000 or visit www.cchwyo.org/BHS.
