Thanks for working here Thursday: Diana Quinones, RN, The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Introducing Diana Quinones, RN, who works at The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center in Gillette, Wyoming. Diana has worked for CCH for nearly three years. She became a nurse because she was attracted to the flexibility of the job. “Nursing has so many departments, so the possibilities are endless. I like having the ability to work with a variety of people, and a variety of areas,” she says.

When asked who about her healthcare hero, Diana says she feels that all of her coworkers are her heroes! “They come to work and take care of our residents like they are their own loved ones,” she says. However, she did name one person specifically: Tara Mooney, RN. “She goes out of her way to teach others, advocate for her patients, and she puts others needs before her own. She pushes everyone to work their hardest. Tara is phenomenal at engaging with not only her patients but also her coworkers and empowers everyone she comes across,” says Diana.

When Diana isn’t working, she loves to spend time with her family. “My family means the world to me, so I try to include them in my day-to-day life. I enjoy getting outside whether it’s just for a walk, fish, or watch my husband fish. Most of all, I love to watch my baby grow and learn every single day,” she says.

We asked Diana what she likes most about working for CCH, and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:

“I like when I am able to get to know the residents and their families, and to build long lasting relationships. But I also like being able to help not only the residents but their loved ones through some of the hardest times of their lives. We get to bring joy and happiness into their everyday lives.

I love the teamwork at The Legacy, and ability to help one another. Our job can be emotionally and physically draining, and I know that we can lean on one another for support. We have a great team, and all of the departments from Nutrition, Environmental Services and Nursing work together seamlessly to ensure the residents and patients receive the care they deserve.

Excellence Every Day to me means that you provide the care everyone deserves. You treat each individual you come across with respect, you hold yourself and your team accountable, and you do even the simplest of tasks with a smile on your face and treat them with dignity.”

Thank you, Diana, for taking such great care of the residents (and colleagues) at The Legacy. We appreciate you!
