According to the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) are advanced practice registered nurses who administer approximately 40 million anesthetics to patients in the United States each year.
CRNAs are the primary providers of anesthesia care in rural America, enabling healthcare facilities in medically underserved areas to offer diagnostic, obstetrical, surgical, and trauma stabilization services.
Certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) play a crucial role in the success of a variety of medical procedures. CRNA's work with surgeons, anesthesiologists, dentists, podiatrists, and other professionals to ensure the safe administration of anesthesia. CRNA responsibilities include:
- providing pain management
- assisting with stabilization services
- and overseeing patient recovery.
At Campbell County Health, CRNAs and anesthesiologists work as a team to provide exceptional patient care. We’d like to say thank you to all the CRNAs who practice in our community and continue to provide Excellence Every Day.
