Thanks for working here this week: Kirstie LaPlante, Registration Specialist

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Say hello to Kirstie LaPlante, a Registration Specialist at the Campbell County Medical Group Walk-in Clinic in Gillette, Wyoming. Kirstie has been with CCH for nearly three years, but has been working in healthcare since she turned 18. As a registration specialist at the Walk-In Clinic, she helps gather information from patients to register and enters that information into their electronic medical record.

She was drawn to a career in health care because she wants to help people. “I like to help people when they are scared and not sure what is going on—seeing their smile on their faces, when they start feeling better is worth it,” she says.

She calls her health care hero her grandmother. “She was a nurse for 44 years. I saw photos of her in her nurse outfit when I was younger and always thought it was really cool,” she says.

When she’s not at work, Kirstie enjoys reading, working out, as well as enjoying time with her two dogs and husband.

We asked Kirstie what she likes most about working for CCH and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:

“I enjoy the people that I work with nurses and providers, we are like a big family. The patients are amazing and they can always make us smile—even if it is on a bad day for them. I enjoy seeing patients come back time after time and when you build a relationship with them, that they remember your name.

I have tons of family who work in healthcare. I really enjoyed working at the Walk-in Clinic because of the people and the atmosphere. When I had some health problems and was in the hospital here, the provider and the nurses were amazing. I’m proud to be part of this team.

Excellence every day to me is making sure every patient is taken care of with compassion and courtesy.”
