Thanks for working here this week: Kim Norlander, Early Childhood Center

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Allow us to introduce Kim Norlander, a Childcare Technician in the Early Childhood Center in Gillette, Wyoming. Kim has worked with CCH for 13 years and earned a Child Development Associate certificate. For those who don't know, the Early Childhood Center provides childcare for the children of CCH employees when they are at work—currently, the Center is only open to CCH employees.

Kim says that she feels that the healthcare field chose her. “The kids that come through my room assure me each day that this if the place for me. I am able to create close relationships with each child, and often times their families. Watching the kids grow and learn and being able to provide a safe, happy environment for healthcare workers children is of upmost importance to me,” she says.

When Kim is not caring for children at CCH, she loves being outdoors. “When I am not at work I like to spend my time hiking and traveling. My family and I frequently make trips to Keyhole where we spend time on our boat surfing and tubing. I enjoy going to concerts, camping, and getting away with my kids,” she says.

We asked Kim what she likes most about CCH, and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:

“I love to watch the kids learn and grow. I love being able to play a part in their development growth both educationally and socially. I find myself looking back on the fun memories I have made with all my children as they move through the daycare. Their smiles and laughs are the best part of coming to work each day.

Excellence every day means showing up every day and providing the best care to my children and their families.”
