Thanks for working here this week: Shelly Hagen, Early Childhood Center

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Allow us to introduce Shelly Hagen, the CCH director of the Early Childhood Center in Gillette, Wyoming. For those who don't know, the Early Childhood Center provides childcare for the children of CCH employees when they are at work—currently, the Center is only open to CCH employees. Shelly has been with CCH for nearly two years. She says that she has always loved working with children, and we sure are glad to have her in our Center. Shelly has worked in the childcare setting for 25 years.

When asked who her health care hero was, Shelly mentioned Juli Matthews. “She has made the transition to this new environment as smooth as possible, and she is always there to guide me through difficult situations as well as helping out other health care workers as well,” she says.

When Shelly isn’t taking care of children, she enjoys camping, spending time outside and being with her family.

We asked Shelly what she likes most about working for CCH, and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:

“I enjoy the Childcare department because my staff is outstanding and I love working with kids. I also enjoy working for the hospital because it’s a great organization to work for.

Excellence Every Day means showing up to work and using my skills and abilities to create a successful day. It means giving every task the best of my ability and not allowing for laziness to take over. It is ensuring that at the end of the day, everyone in my department including myself can be proud of what they accomplished.”
