Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.
Meet Ashton Eichenberger, RN, BSN, who works for the Campbell County Medical Group Kid Clinic, which recently re-opened at 702 S. Kendrick Avenue in Gillette, Wyoming. For those who don't know, the Kid Clinic is a collaborative effort between Campbell County Health, Campbell County Medical Group and Campbell County School District to provide primary medical care, behavioral health and substance abuse counseling services. Ashton has worked at CCH for three years, but has been in health care for eight years. She earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in nursing from the University of Wyoming.
Ashton was inspired to work in healthcare from a young age. “I always was interested in the field as I got a job at the age of 14 as a file clerk at Powder River Orthopedics and Spine. But what really motivated me to become a nurse is after going on a mission trip to Haiti in 2013. While I was there working at the orphanage it saddened me that those children were not getting the best care and nourishment due to their situation, and the environment they lived in. This motivated me to get my nursing degree so that I could be able to provide that care to people who are in similar situations or just need someone to help them get through some of the hardest times of their life.”
Ashton calls Advanced Nurse Practitioner (APRN) Holly Hink her health care hero. “Holly truly has a big heart to care for the children of this community. Holly is constantly going above and beyond not only for the children but for the office, and helping out where ever its needed in the clinic. Holly motivates me to have that same dedication she has for our clinic,” says Ashton.
When she’s not working, Ashton says that she loves to be outside. “I enjoy running and currently training for my third half marathon. Camping and kayaking are my husband’s and my favorite things to do. I also love being with my family and friends on our days off,” she says.
We asked Ashton what she likes most about working for CCH, and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:
“I love working at the Kid Clinic because we have an amazing team who works really well together, we are all here to serve the children of this community, and we are very passionate about the work we do.
What excellence every day means to me is going above and beyond to provide the best care possible—it’s making sure that at the end of the day the patients’ needs are met and that they feel well taken care of.”
Thank you, Ashton, for taking such great care of our young patients. We appreciate you!
