Updates to Visiting Policies at CCH, The Legacy November 2021

GILLETTE, WY – The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and the Wyoming Department of Health have provided new guidance regarding visiting at The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center. In person-visiting can resume under the following criteria beginning immediately:
- Visitation is allowed for all residents at any time, any day, and be unscheduled.
- There is no limit to the number of visitors allowed at a time, as long as social distancing guidelines are maintained.
- Visits with children 2 years old and under must occur in Resident’s room only. Children 2 years old and up that visit must be able to adhere to mask use for the entirety or the visit.
- The main entrance doors are locked at all times. The front desk is staffed Monday-Friday from 8 am-5:30 pm. Outside these hours, visitors must use the phone in the main entrance vestibule to contact the Charge nurse for access.
- Visits must occur in the resident’s room or common areas on their neighborhood only, as social distancing from others must be maintained. Visits are not allowed in the bistro or other common/open areas that are not on the resident’s neighborhood.
- Sharing meals is not allowed, and masks must be worn by residents and visitors at all times during visits.
The following protocols will be in place for all visits at The Legacy:
- Symptom screening, including temperature screening, is required upon arrival.
- Wearing the required PPE for the entirety of the visit is mandatory, and will provided for each visit.
CCH continues to require all employees, patients, visitors, support persons and volunteers to be screened upon entrance and wear a mask when in any CCH facilities, which includes:
- Campbell County Memorial Hospital (including the Main Clinic and Walk-in Clinic and all clinics within)
- Emergency Medical Services
- Fourth Street Building
- Home Health
- Home Medical Resources
- Kid Clinic
- Pioneer Building
- Stocktrail Building
- The Legacy
- and the Wright Clinic and Occupational Health
