Plan for a Healthy 2023
- Posted On:
The end of the year is a perfect time to schedule any elective or necessary medical procedures and set yourself up for a healthy 2023, especially if you’ve already met your insurance deductible. Deductibles — what consumers pay before their insurance plan starts to pay — as well as other out-of-pocket medical expenses have grown, leading some patients to make calculated decisions on when to schedule elective and semi-elective procedures. It can also be more convenient to schedule a procedure during a long holiday break to reduce time away from work or school.
Campbell County Health Surgical Services has modern facilities and a compassionate, caring team for your surgical procedure. Our highly trained, board-certified surgeons, anesthesiologists, and certified nurse anesthetists work with your primary care provider to coordinate your follow-up care and rehabilitation needs. The surgery team consists of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified surgical technicians and certified sterile processing staff.
Many types of procedures can be performed in one of our four operating rooms and two procedure rooms: general surgery, orthopedics, gynecological surgery, ear, nose and throat, urology, eye surgery, and pain clinic.
Surgeries can be performed in an outpatient or inpatient setting. Outpatient surgery, also known as ambulatory surgery, day surgery, or same-day surgery, is surgery that does not require an overnight hospital stay. New technologies, types of anesthesia and pain management enable many surgeries to be performed as outpatient. However, not everyone is able to have outpatient surgery because of the type of procedure that is being performed.
Inpatient surgery is when you have surgery and are required to spend at least one night in the hospital. There are many different things that surgeons and anesthesiologists will consider to determine if a patient is required to stay in the hospital.
Campbell County Health also has a Cardiac Cath Lab, which offers a variety of diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures used in the treatment of coronary artery disease.
