GILLETTE, Wyo. - August 24, 2023 - Campbell County Health (CCH) is excited to welcome Jessica Miller to the Behavioral Health Services team. With an impressive background in nursing and a wealth of experience in nursing management, Jessica was a great fit to take on the role of Nurse Manager for Inpatient Behavioral Health Services.
Miller grew up in Gillette and pursued her education at the University of Wyoming. Upon obtaining her nursing degree, Miller would spend the next 20 years in the Navy, traveling across the country and abroad to Japan and Guam. Initially, Miller earned a bachelor's degree in nutrition. However, recognizing her true calling for direct patient care, she transitioned to nursing and never looked back.
"In nursing school, I realized how much I loved nursing, and so I stayed a nurse during my 20 years in the military," Miller remarked.
Miller's journey has been marked by dedication and a commitment to serving others. Her military service in the Navy allowed her to hone her skills while nurturing her love for nursing. During her military service, Miller was drawn to the administrative side of healthcare and would become a nurse leader.
Returning to her roots in Gillette was a natural choice for Miller, who had family and friends here. "I wanted to be back with my family and give back to the community that raised me," she said.
Outside of her professional commitments, Miller has diverse interests and passions. Miller enjoys reading and indulging in arts and crafts. Always in search of new experiences, Jessica's curiosity drives her to explore and learn continually. Among her many interests and passions, first and foremost to Miller, is archery - a passion she is excited to explore further here in Gillette.
As she embarks on her journey as the Nurse Manager for inpatient behavioral health services at CCH, Miller brings a unique blend of experience, passion, and community spirit. Her dedication to patient care and drive to make a positive impact align perfectly with CCH's mission to provide exceptional healthcare services to the residents of Campbell County and the greater northeast Wyoming community.
