Dr. Lauren Dusek Joins Campbell County Medical Group Family Medicine as a Family Practice Provider

GILLETTE, Wyo. - April 10, 2024 - Campbell County Medical Group Family Medicine welcomes Dr. Lauren Dusek to their team as a family practice provider. Originally from Alabama, Dr. Dusek and her husband sought to move out west to a smaller town feel with abundant outdoor activities, making Gillette an ideal destination.

Dr. Dusek initially pursued physics, but quickly realized she had a passion for anatomy and physiology. This passion led her to pursue microbiology, pre-med coursework, and, ultimately, medical school. Her experience during her last rotation and clinicals in family medicine were particularly impactful, leading to a family medicine residency.

A graduate of the University of South Alabama's medical program, Dr. Dusek completed her residency at Floyd Family Medicine in Rome, Georgia. Her commitment to family practice stems from its longitudinal aspect, allowing her to build lasting relationships with patients and provide comprehensive care for a lifetime.

Reflecting on her career, Dr. Dusek shares, "The things I remember most are the times I've made a difference, when I've helped someone gain more time in their lives, [and] more time with their loved ones." She finds fulfillment in witnessing the transformation of patients, particularly those facing challenges, and shared that these moments reaffirm her choice to pursue a medical career.

Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Dusek enjoys the outdoors, a passion she shares with her husband. She and her husband look forward to exploring winter activities like snowshoeing and snowmobiling here in Wyoming. Above all, Dr. Dusek enjoys spending time with her children.
