Campbell County Health and Northeast Wyoming Community Health Foundation Collaborate to Explore Reopening Close to Home Hospice House

  • Posted On:

GILLETTE, Wyo. - Oct. 23, 2024 - Campbell County Health (CCH) is excited to announce a collaborative effort with the Northeast Wyoming Community Health Foundation to explore the feasibility of reopening the Close to Home Hospice House. This initiative aims to enhance inpatient hospice services by reopening a home that facilitates end-of-life support, providing a compassionate space for individuals to receive care with dignity. We are considering this in partnership with a third- party operator,  which will be discussed and decided upon collaboratively.

Our primary focus is the well-being of our community, and we are committed to transparency as we engage in these preliminary discussions. While no definitive decisions have been made, we believe that this opportunity could significantly benefit the residents of Gillette and surrounding areas by providing essential inpatient hospice care services.

We recognize the importance of inpatient hospice care in ensuring that individuals and their families receive compassionate support during critical times. The possibility of reopening this facility reflects our shared commitment to enhancing healthcare options in our community.

We will keep the community informed as we continue our discussions and explore this promising opportunity. Thank you for your ongoing support and engagement as we work together to understand how we may again utilize this space for the benefit of Gillette.
