Join us in welcoming Ausencia Veinbergs, Dietitian, RD, LDN. Ausencia is the Dietitian Director at The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center and will also be taking on the role of Dietitian at Campbell County Health.

Ausencia's journey into the culinary and nutritional fields began with her studies in culinary arts and hospitality at Sheridan College, which ignited her passion for food. After operating a successful catering business, she further pursued her interest in nutrition at Kansas State University, where she completed her dietetics education.

With a husband who has worked in the oil and gas industry for over a decade, Ausencia has warmly embraced the Gillette community. "My husband and I love this area and all that the surrounding areas have to offer. Since I was raised in rural Montana, I understand the lifestyle of small communities and can empathize with its members. My true passion is helping the community meet their nutritional goals whether that be to work on improving/managing chronic illnesses or assist in fitness goals."

Ausencia is also passionate about addressing the nutritional needs of the elderly, recognizing that many face different nutritional needs as they age. Her favorite aspect of her work is helping these individuals gain weight healthily and assisting rehabilitation patients in their recovery through proper nutrition.

Raised on a ranch in Broadus, Montana, Ausencia possesses a profound understanding of rural life and the importance of where food comes from. This background informs her approach to nutrition, emphasizing the power of food not just for sustenance but for healing and well-being. Outside of work, she enjoys fly fishing, reading, crafting, and CrossFit.

Ausencia is committed to giving back to the community that has shaped her and values the relationships she builds through her work, believing that everyone deserves access to nourishing food and the support necessary for a healthy life.
