Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.
Allow us to introduce Camron Tompkins, a Medical Equipment Specialist at Home Medical Resources in Gillette, Wyoming. Camron has worked for CCH for more than two years.
For those who don’t know, Home Medical Resources is an HQAA-accredited provider of durable medical equipment, supplies and services. The team is part of a nation-wide membership with contacts for more than 3,500 durable medical equipment providers throughout the United States and the Caribbean.
Camron has always had a passion for helping people. “I was a direct care professional for 10 years, caring for adults with medical disabilities. After I had my daughter, I chose to stay home to care for my children and opened a daycare. I was also a para for four years at one of the secondary schools helping students with special needs. I feel helping and caring for people all these years is not only the most rewarding job, but it also serves a purpose and making a difference,” she says.
When she’s not working, she loves to spend time with her family of five. “It doesn’t matter what we are doing as long as we are all together! But my all-time favorite thing to do is to watch my three children play in their sports,” she says.
We asked Camron what she likes most about working for CCH, and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:
“I find the most joy in my job when I am able to make someone smile, or making their day just a little brighter. A lot of our patients we have are seen when they feel their lowest, and anxious. So, if I can ease their anxiety or make their experience with their medical equipment less stressful, that gives me so much pride that I was able to help someone in need.
My favorite part of working at CCH is the people—my coworkers make it a fun joyful place to work. I feel honored to be recognized for a wonderful company and department that makes a difference in people’s lives daily.
I have a delivery day where I deliver oxygen to my patients weekly, and seeing them is my favorite part of the day. I like that every day is a new challenge; it’s never the same circumstance or scenario, and there is always room to grow and new things to learn.
Excellence every day to me means, people first. Being a good listener, caring and being compassionate.”
Thank you, Camron, for helping to ease our patient’s anxiety around their medical equipment. We appreciate you.
